Hello peoples of the Minecraft community, Aedrift/leo2by4 here, and I'm making this post to give my honest review on the new MCSG hub server, MCGamer.
It's a very great idea and all, but this soon after Hive came out, is a little convenient.
Other than that, I'm really digging the new server, and I think it will go far in the future. :)
Since it's running on 1.6, it's pretty buggy, but I can't blame them. Although, it's also in like, what? Pre-Alpha? Maybe Beta, but whatever.
The one thing I don't like is that when you teleport to the MCSG hub, there are only like servers 77-88 or something. Kinda weird.
Same goes for MCTF2, and Zedchase, they haven't released any of the servers. :c
The whole hub is pretty well built, all credit goes to Team Elite.
Now, I thought I would suggest a couple things, even though they might be trying to add them already.
Donor Lounge - Sorry for referring to The Hive, but all in all, it would be a great thing to add. On the Hive, they have an Enderpearl, and you right click it, and it spawns you in the donor lounge. There's basically the main lobby, with four small hallways that lead into rooms. 1. The Cafe - Basically a place where you go to chat with friends, and chill and relax. 2. Parkour - Basically a parkour room where you can challenge the great and powerful parkour. 3. Dressing Room - Basically you step in a small wardrobe, and dress yourself with dyed armor, and can also put on the heads of the administrative staff. 4. Server Staff Room - Basically it shows a bunch of walls having the heads of the staff that are willing to use their time to moderate the servers. Using mcsg now as an example, from MCSG, to MCTF2. So, having for say, KRaidium on one wall, although beside his head, might be a head from Kytria, an MCTF2 mod.
Now, moving along, I don't actually know if this is already implemented, but I'll go ahead and say it now.
Using MCTF2 as an example, the staff of MCTF2 should have all staff permissions on the whole hub server. Kind of like Hive, a mod could have came from Herobrine, or Trouble in Mineville, but they both have moderator on all gametypes in the server. It just adds more moderators to look after the server.
One final suggestion, an EU hub, and an AU hub.
Basically 2 other servers that are hosted in EU and AU, for the players that live in those regions.
It will probably be added in the future, but thought I'd just bring it up.
Thanks for reading this, and I hope you consider some of my suggestions, and I hope you all have a very great day.
And thank you to everyone who has helped out for this server, *calling all devs* it's an excellent piece of work, and will go far. :)

They do have a map builder and senior staff/admin wall.

My official response, yay!
  1. As the hub is still in beta, not all servers are activated on it, as you've seen. Only MCSG US77-91 and MCTF2 15-19 are available in this beta.
  2. MCTF2 staff don't have permission on the hub because MCTF2 is still running off of a seperate system. This will hopefully be resolved soon.
  3. MOAR hubs: EU hub is definitely coming before our official release, we're not too sure about other regions yet, simply because of server costs in some of those regions (Australia is by far our most expensive region).

:3 I can't wait to see all of the new moderators coming over from MCTF2!
