I swear, if he says TL;DR to this post...
Nah, that was a one time thing, I felt like being silly.

Either way, onto the actual post..

I think the whole small map, small match thing is just first person gaming in general.

Not a lot of first person games have maps that are massive in size, and a lot of first person games definitely don't have matches that go on for hours, so it's something that's difficult to adapt to.

Although I never played in the "old" days of MCSG, I'd love to see more maps with a bigger size. The whole small, chaotic style is getting ridiculous now.

Man, great information, especially when you talked about how the maps got smaller, we TRULY need MORE big maps.

I think game length should be kept the same and that more needs to be added into that short time length instead of just stepping back to how MCSG was last year.

Some people need to accept change.
If change didn't happen, we'd be bored of the same thing.

After just having played a 30 minute game on the 120 man server, I have to say that I loved it. I hadn't played a game that long in months, and I found the long process of hunting to be very exciting. Also, it was the first game in forever where I didn't throw out any food, something that I do all the time in quick games. Good jod Arena for being on-point again!

I feel that you're not being completely truthful here. Having looked at your records, you have over a week in play time. Unless you take 2 minute tea breaks, then how can you possibly only have a 20 minute play time and have over 10,000 total minutes in play time? That would be an insane feat.

How do we know most of the community likes short epic games? Did you ask them? Have we carefully taken the time to ask the general public about this. Also, I found the "We have a life" comment a bit insulting. You're basically saying anyone who has over 30 minutes of time to use on the computer has no life. Firing up the statistics command again, I found that you also feature over 1 week in total play time on these servers. Just think about that. 1 week is 10080 minutes, and you're telling me you're not able to give up 30 minutes? I find this very unlikely, but all the well, still possible. Also, like said at the start of the mobs section, I know there was a poll. None the less, it needed to be addressed.
Well as I said, small matches where games are short are normally the popular ones (ex. SG4, Breeze Island, Solar Frost). But you're right; I never asked the community. So why not ask it through an in-game poll? After all the purpose of in-game polls are to gather the opinions of the community. So a few simple questions should be asked:

Do you want games to last longer?

Do you want larger maps?

Do you want less stuff in chests and chests to be more scarce?

Also, please remember that the one week figure of my playing time is over a span of around 5 months and that includes the time of summer, where I have much more free time than during the school year.

Edit: I would like to mention that larger maps are still on MCSG. Maps like SG1, SG2, and SG3 are still in rotation; they're just not voted very often. There has also been other large maps, such as Hungry Hills, which was removed due to unpopularity.
