Fist glitch fix?!

I've thought this for a while and it seems logical, I cannot see anything wrong with it (well, one thing - but that comes later.)
Why not just add a /clear command as soon as "DerpyDash11 won the Survival Games" appears.
For those of you who don't know what the fist glitch is; then you're probably on the wrong game xD
A fist glitch is when someone wins a game and holds their sword, the server restarts and you have a diamond fist in the next game.
The only thing I can think of to prevent this is someone doing /hub before the /clear....

- Why won't my method work? is there a better one?

EDIT: No I dont think that would do the trick, as its when the player LEAVES the server. and the devs would have tought of this you know :>

So? It's when they leave, yes. But it's when they leave with their sword/weapon. If there is no weapon, there is no fist glitch.

There's some ways, but it will decrease the amount of glitchers!

Thapple's already's got his rendition running around thread to thread, now we have this... Also, I love the idea, but I'm not a dev, so I wouldn't know how that'd be implemented.

Well, coding it for one server is just a small update event, but adding it to all servers would be hard...
