Are you happy that you fishing rods aren't going to be used for pvp anyomore?

I am going to be so happy if it wont be used for PvP anymore. It wasn't designed to be for it and it way to much of an advantage if someone masterd it.

...It doesn't work in the new update snapshots because those of you who tested it didn't have a stable Bukkit (Or an alternative.) installed. I can almost guarantee you that it will still work on MCSG and virtually every other server worldwide in the next update. Minecraft has never allowed it to hit players, that's Bukkit, and there is almost nothing Mojang can do to stop Bukkit from making it work.
If it doesn't work in the next update, Mojang is likely not to blame. >.>

So once the answer has been answerd, there is no need to worry about it, it is going to work in the next update, you just need bukkit so you can use it for pvp :3

I just don't think it was made to be a weapon, and once you're good with the fishing rod it's annoying that you cannot get any hits or getting boosted everywhere...
