I actually kind of hate how that works, because then I can never remember experiencing something for the first time. Now that I think about it, I can barely even remember playing my guitar for the first time.

The reason for that is the brain stores information that you class as either useful or important or out of the ordinary. So if you saw a UFO for example you would remember that for a while
