The sad thing is, it's only a matter of time before someone comes out with a version of BSM without this packet. But until then, I guess we have peace of mind.. mostly!

There's a principle I think many of us are missing. The thing that is banned is not the actual function of BSM (ie sprint toggle), it is the unfair advantage BSM gives to other players.

If in 1.8 they added aimbot to Minecraft (which they wouldn't) that wouldn't be banned because every player would have access, rather than only hackers having access.

It's too laggy. Now reread question bearing in mind I can only play on 1.6 with more than 20 fps.
