What is the best way to sort your hotbar?

In regular game:
1-Sword
2-Bow
3-FnS
4-FnS
5-Gapple
6-Food
7-Food
8-Arrows
9-Rod

In death match:
1-Sword
2-Bow
3-FnS
4-FnS
5-FnS
6-FnS
7-Gapple
8-Arrows or Food with high saturation
9-Rod

There is no best way to sort out to sort out your hotbar, it is just personal preference. However there are ~4 main ways of sorting it out.
Mine is as follows:
- Sword
- Bow
- Flint and Steel
- Flint and Steel (or golden apple)
- Food
- Food
- Food
- Arrows (If I have a lot I won't put them in my hotbar. But if I have around 10, they'd go in my hotbar.
- Rod

Many others have it like this:
- Sword
- Rod
- Flint and Steel
- Flint and Steel (or golden apple)
- Food
- Food
- Food
- Arrows
- Bow

Or like:
- Sword
- Bow
- Rod
- F&S
Then so on, or others have both the rod and f&s switched around.
