Hello,
This post is regarding the CA region;
We were promised a mini hub almost a month ago. Do we have this? No. Have we heard anything about this? No. Why? A lot of people still do play on the CA servers, and would like to have these things.
So we have been hearing your feedback the last few weeks and been working hard to update our network. The last of the updates will happen between now to Friday:
Network updates:
+ CA Mini Hub
+ AS Mini Hub
+ AU connection improvements

Maps:
Even though Freeze Island was "removed" over 2 months ago, it remains on the CA servers. Demon's Breeze also remains on the region, after supposedly being removed. There really isn't too much else to say about this.

Glitches:
On the CA servers, there is no sound when you hit another player. This severely impacts the game as you can't tell when you're hitting someone other than by the visual red tint they turn. You can't tell if they're on fire when you try to flint and steel them.

CA Basically seems to be the testing ground for glitches, but they never seem to be fixed. Why spend the money on the servers if they don't even get the full benefit of the plugin? This is a plea to get more attention to the CA region, so it can have the attention it deserves.

Secondly, Forairan pushed out some fixes to dramatically improve the login times in our remote location and also address some of the issues of randomly. This means locations like Australia, Asia, Europe and Canada will see major improvements connecting between the servers. No more 10 second log in times or random connection drops! This means we can actually start working on converting AS and CA to a "mini" hub network and provide dual protocol support soon in those locations.

We had to fix this problem before converting. Should have said that awhile ago, sorry!

As a CA player, I never ignored this place, but I do agree.

Also, if you dislike the chests being nerfed, most of the chests are still tier 2 there.

I used to consider myself an active CA player (Still do for that matter), but since there's no Optifine for 1.7 I've started to stop playing. I now play on the other servers with my horrendous connection, but there's a huge difference. There was a great community of CA players. Very rarely would people get overly upset about losing as I would see on US. Since it became 1.7 only, the community has dwindled. Now, there are only about 10 of the 25 servers that are played at once. The remaining people aren't necessarily the best sports, and it just isn't quite as fun as it was before. Also, you could play 48 man servers. Honestly, I don't mind still having Demon's Breeze and Freeze as they are very fun maps to play.

Note: I had more, but I kinda forget while writing :confused:

Edit: Oh yes! One good thing is that fact that there are less hackers since there aren't really much hacks for 1.7. Before, there was a hacker in almost every game and hardly any mods to stop it (Sorry any CA mods)
