Why is the fishing pole not allowed?

In the lottery, why are we not allowed to use the fishing pole? It's not a glitch, fishing poles activate pressure plates, it's not a hack, and if you don't want us doing it, take fishing poles out!

Fishing rods are a part of the game wether you use it to fish for food or to hit a people away from you. It's a kickable offence because you are ment to put the 8 objects in and hope your luck kicks in. If using a fishing rod there was allowed you might as well have a button to active the dispensers, there is not luck in using the fishing rod. The only luck in that is getting a fishing rod.

i have a suggestion that the map crew could do to fix this issue perhaps make the drop onto the pressure pad unreachable by fishing rod by making it 1 or 2 blocks deeper, they could even put so kind of water flow in to make the items flow onto the pressure pad but not allowing fishing rods to pass due to their buoyancy.

My friend has gotten many a kill with a fishing pole, making people panic or just plain nudging them off a cliff enough.
