Not necessarily. If hitting players still stops sprint it will just make people a bit quicker to run.

Yeah but as long as you hold the button down your sprint restarts almost instantly.

I have been too lazy to check the list of things that are being added in 1.7, but will features in BSM get added into the game? I have no personal problems with that, that will just make the game a little easier for people who are experiencing sprint- glitches on multiplayer.
