1.7 better for people with bad PCs

With 1.7 not haven far, tiny, normal ETC render distances they now have chunks. On tiny on single player in 1.6.4 i would get around 30 frams, however on 1.7 with the chunks on the lowest they can go i am getting 50 frams a 20 FPS increase and in some cases even 25 fram increase

also keep in mind without optifine

This is because of the graphical update with water. It's not clear on fast graphics anymore.

I believe there was a semi-rewrite of the rendering engine in 1.7, which makes it a lot faster with people for slow PCs.

I now get ~500 fps on highest settings without Optifine. :3
