Absorption ? O.o

Hello, MY name is Legendof_Creeper aka LeOC ... and today i played a match on breeze i. ...
In DM i ate a golden apple and apple gave me a Absorption effect and 2 extra hearts ...

... Can some1 explain me what is happening...?

It's part of 1.6, golden apples give you an additional two hearts, but they're temporary and will go away once the effects are gone.
