AU servers not letting 1.6.4 work?

I cant seem to get on to the AU servers with 1.6.4 can someone please explain why?

Yes I have this problem as well. I can't access my PC at the moment but there is an error message we get. If you could post this error message then maybe someone with knowledge on this topic can help us

Yes that is the exact error. We aren't able to play with 1.6 and many of my friends struggle to play, even on the lowest settings with the default resource pack :/
