Barrier Blocks instead of Glass?

That sounds like it would be cool....though implementing it would be a challenge.

It would make for some really cool traps and secrets. Imagine invisible parkour to a
bunch of tier 2s....or a secret exit out of the dome to a few extra chests.

There are always texture packs that will change things that aren't supposed to be changed. They're are texture packs that bump up gamma.

If it hasn't been said, you can actually see barriar blocks in the newest snapshot if you're in creative mode.
