First of all, the community is in shambles simply because it's almost COMPLETLEY made up of hackers and tryhards. I just played two games of sg after almost a year and I died to a team of hackers both times. Oh and they say ''gg rekt scrub''. And the maps. Come on, they're overly detailed and extremely laggy. Not just most of the new ones, but older ones such as Icarus, avaricia, even solar frost. You have to realize not everyone who plays is a tryhard with a beast pc that can handle these maps. Great maps such as holiday resort, valleyside, TSG2 and fotune island were simple and NOT overly detailed, why can't you accept maps like these? Detail ≠ quality. And the voting system... after like 2 years of the community complaining, why is this still here? it's terrible. the map with the most votes never wins.

1. If this bothers you so much, turn off the in-game chat. Also, this kind of behavior is inevitable to experience and reporting them would help out a lot.
2. People enjoy maps that are visually appealing. In my opinion, gameplay and aesthetics should both be looked at but some contain more of one aspect than another. Maybe turn your settings down when you play those maps?
3. They temporarily tried out an alternate voting system suggested by some people on the forums, but it was generally not received very well and was reverted to the one we have today.

Maybe you could suggest some solutions to these issues instead of just pointing them out? That doesn't help anybody...

With the new anti-cheat, I find it impossible to run into hackers. If you see any please record them. Soon solo servers will be available and then you won't need to worry about teams anymore.

I have not had any problems with maps and I play on a laptop. Try turning down your render distance or adjusting your settings for better performance

I'm pretty sure the community were polled and we voted to keep the voting system we had. Enjoy maps other then the main ones! Enjoy the adventure of survival games on a map you don't know.

Who cares? People like you make up the community, I'm talking about tryhards. If you played the game to have fun, you wouldn't care about tryhards. If you play the game to win and get upset about them, you are one. Simple as that.

I love the raffle voting system, I can actually get good maps voted on it. (which never would happen if we didn't have it, considering the maps I like on the 24-man servers are SG1, SG2, SG3, and Survival Kingdom.) Seriously, if it weren't for the raffle system, I wouldn't be on MCSG at all because all we'd ever play would be Par 72, Zone 85, Turbulence, and Alaskan Village.

But yeah, the community's not so great in-game anymore. But you can't really complain about people making maps with detail that causes some lag, considering they're just trying to get it accepted on to the servers. Just because some people have a bit of lag isn't going to stop them from building how they want to build. If you care that much, you'd try and save up some money for a better computer.

Dude, this is all about mindset. Play to win, but remember to keep your cool. Those cocky people who like to trashtalk can be punished for what they say so report them if you can.

Positive attitudes go a long way, friend.

Hopefully the new 'Anti-Cheat' plugin will solve this! And to be honest, I don't entirely agree with you.

The new maps are pretty awful (par, green grass), but aren't laggy.

My PC was like 600 and I run a cool 200 fps

Lets be respectful! Lots of time and effort went into the making of the maps you listed. If they are good enough to be accepted here on MCGamer, then they are good, period.

Listen dude. Just because time and effort went into the making, doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion on how they suck. Lots of bad maps got accepted. See- Fallen Empire, Solar frost, Breeze 2, Rugged Lands, Fortune Island

All are trash for pvp, and while Par and Green may be great for pvp, they are pretty meh maps.

Maps like Valleyside and SG4 are what we need.

I actually like fortune island... and whether you like it or not a lot of people actually like the maps you listed that "suck". MCSG isn't going to make maps just for your liking, sorry. If you want more maps like SG4 and Valleyside then make one yourself, but don't criticize the map builders that spend a lot of time for this community.
