Introduction
So I posted the idea a couple days ago and inbetween revision sessions I have developed something to make it easier for myself and others to join MCSG servers. Basically it adds a new button to the minecraft main menu titled "MCSG" which takes you to a similar but separate multiplayer screen, which is home to separate server lists for MCSG. You can select the region you would like in order for you to join just the servers you want, and the list is also sorted so that the easiest lobbies to join should be at the top. Specifically, lobbies with the most free slots will be at the top, then matches in Cleanup, then EndGame, then Deathmatch, etc. Similar to how the website lists them, but within the client and the ability to connect straight through that list making it much easier to get into games.

Installation Instructions:
I would hope that some of you are familiar with how to install minecraft forge, but just in case you aren't I will put instructions here:
  1. Download the latest version of minecraft forge (universal) here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/ (hint: the * next to it is an ad-free download)
  2. Copy the contents of the downloaded zip into %AppData%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar using a program such as 7-zip
  3. Run minecraft to set-up forge for the first time
Since I unfortunately haven't been able to figure out a good way of fiddling with the main menu buttons without editing their main menu code (yet...) you have to install the MCSG client mod differently to other forge mods, it must go into minecraft.jar with minecraft forge AFTER forge has been installed:
  1. Download the latest MCSG client mod above
  2. Copy the contents of the downloaded zip into %AppData%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar using a program such as 7-zip
  3. Lose to me at MCSG
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'm sad to say that an auto-join feature, picking you lobbies to join or waiting for cleanup stages automatically is not allowed according to users on here so that idea is no longer happening.

I already use the Minecraft Profiles mod, which already has this and more. Your server list also isn't organized, and it doesn't show the regions separated as the Minecraft Profiles mod. I think it's just easier to do this. But for all those who don't use it and don't want to, this may be a good mod. I would still recommend putting the list of servers in order though :p

It's organised by players and match status, specific to MCSG, to make joining games easier. Emptier lobbies at the top, games with more players and not far in at the bottom. It was meant to have other features but apparently those aren't allowed for MCSG

Oh, that makes a lot of sense actually. But you should have all lobbies at the top (in case you didn't actually mean that) because donors can join any lobbies unless they are already donor filled, and they may want to join one.

That's what I meant, LiveGames full at the bottom, all lobbies sorted by free spaces at the top. then cleanup/endgame/deathmatch in-between in order of closeness-to-next-game

What are the features you wanted to add but weren't allowed?

I must not be installing it correctly. Could you put up a jar for download?

EDIT: I got it to work; didn't install Forge correctly.
