Hey everyone :D
Duck here and lately in the hunger games i've been wondering, what is the strategy behind running across the entire map like Usain Bolt just to escape death which is inevitable in death match anyway. I can understand if you have decent equipment, got caught off guard and need to regenerate health before making your comeback, but those people who have absolutely nothing that feel the need to run cross-country from someone who will clearly beat them in death match i just don't understand.
Anyone know the logic behind this or do we share the same pet peeves? xD I think the logic is "Troll Logic."

Unless that noob with nothing on them is secretly concealing two diamonds and a full set of iron armor....

You should probably chase them across the entire map for the entire game, and get your team of 3 to help out, just in case.

Fisting is good too.

Especially if they're named zenoCrafter.

Sigh......

I only run if....
1. I have a teammate somewhere
2. I I have equal stuff
Or 3. It is the beginning of the game

I always run. Forever and ever. Waiting to regen to fight back...
I mean, honestly, nobody is perfect. I can just keep running, regening, fighting, etc...until eventually, they will screw up and I'll get the advantage. Heck, deathmatch can also go very unexpectedly. Never assume the game is an automatic loss, there will almost always be something you can do, and maybe you'll have to run for a while to achieve that thing. Whether it be the water in Breeze Island's corn during deathmatch, the pit in SG5's, the ability to "use" the last person in deathmatch to your advantage, etc...there is always hope. No reason to just give up because you have less gear.

Never give up. You'd be surprised. Running around away from people all game can be worth it, you could still win. Heck, one game, people wanted my points so badly that I was chased from 30 seconds in until deathmatch 15 minutes later. And guess what? Hidden in those pockets of the guy being chased all game was a fair amount of items I never had the chance to put on. I almost won. And you know why I lost? Because after all that, I was pit against egrodo of all people, who was in full iron armor/diamond sword. xD

You cannot stop people from trying to run, and there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't run. Your only choice is to take them down as best you can. Take advantage of alternative routes, edges of the map, buildings to knock them into, properly timed arrows, corners, fishing rods, etc...If you know how, you can catch runners fairly quickly, provided you have what you need and they aren't amazing at running.

Seriously, though, the people I hate more are the people who chase me all game for my points/a single hardly useful item, not the people who run. Running can only benefit you, I've ran for minutes at a time making no attempt to fight back only to find myself later winning because of it, whereas chasing someone who has next to nothing good for you can waste your time and theirs, and is rarely worth it unless they truly have a ton of stuff or you have literally nothing else to be doing.

Better than my "go out in a blaze of leathery glory" strategy!
Why is it that whenever I join a game you're in, you have a leather helmet and a fishing rod? Do you have more and just wear that as a trademark, or what, because it's scarily consistent.
