EU Server Lag

Why are the EU servers so laggy, the US servers are fine for me to play on but the EU servers are near to unplayable. The crafting lag is enough to warrant rage, you can't even craft a sword, it takes at least 5 tries. I there a reason that the EU servers are a lot worse than US. By the way I'm from UK

I don't get lag and I'm from the UK too. I mean, the crafting but is still there but I don't think the US servers are any better.
