Hmm... Interesting... I tried to use a cauldron as a fence post when the fence glitch was still around. I guess it recently started working after they patched the fence post.

Yes. Just because it is in the code does not mean it is fully fixed. The plugin has to be built and sent out to all the servers which will happen eventually.
