Fist Glitch Q&As

but I can tell you from experience that this will break your game. Your regulars will eventually leave and new people will not stay. I think that it is IMPERATIVE that the glitch be fixed as soon as possible. Any other stance taken on the matter is a bad one.

I'm sure the developers will come up with a solution, but it takes time. Like has been said several times, it's not an MCSG glitch, it's a glitch in Minecraft itself, created by Mojang.

No really? Do you think I'm blind? I find it insulting that you would treat me like a child.

I don't even care about your plugin, I should have said that in my previous post. I was merely observing and giving an opinion on a possible future outcome based on repeat events I have seen before. Does applying cause and effect really illicit such inane comments from people?

Q: Why won't MCSG fix this?
A: It's not MCSG's fault. The glitch is a result of errors in the Minecraft code itself.

Just because it isn't MCSG's fault doesn't mean that they can't improve the fist glitch epidemic. As EvermoreHD stated "95% of fist glitchers come from the Iron Swords in the lobby". Taking the swords out of the lobby minimizes the fist glitchers to only 1 person per game(The winner of the previous game).

Why is everyone ranting about this?
1) The whole lobby can get fist glitch if they wanted to because it isn't "bannable". It is now according to my sources.
2) There aren't many moderators around to kick the fist glitchers.
3) This is a pvp-style server and whoever starts with an "Iron Sword Fist" can just go to corn and kill everyone in a matter of seconds. A team of 5 can get the fist glitch and end the game in 2 minutes by killing everyone that goes to corn. Yes, it's been done before. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY OVERPOWERED AND A GAME-DESTROYING, RUINING, EXPERIENCE KILLING GLITCH.
4) It's been 2 months since the new lobby and since the glitch was exploited. Nothing has been done since.
5) I can never go to corn anymore because of this and I get chased by 1-2 fist glitchers every game. Because they can't handle me.

It boggles my mind how a glitch/bug this big is being overlooked...

If the moderators were playing as regular players, you all would be saying the same thing and ranting about the fist glitch just like the rest of the community is. We are constantly making threads about fist glitching trying to make you all aware on what's happening in-game(Especially CA Servers) and how nerve-racking it is...

It just doesn't seem to be getting in your heads...
I say, 2 months of this horsepoopglitch is enough.

The moderators play quite a lot, I see them in a lot of my games (which isn't very many as I don't play that much anymore, but that just means they're all the more active) and obviously they do understand that the glitch is there. If we had a solution, I'm sure it would be solved, but that doesn't exist right now so we have a Q & A so that people stop making threads about it.
Now rather than making accusations, why don't you be a bit more active in the community? Less than a week ago, the developers had a Q & A session themselves and the fist glitch was brought up several times. Everyone is aware of it's existence.

I don't think my post was rude at all. This comes my experience, others experience, and my honest outlook on this situation.

I am going to put this thread to rest here. Thank you @GotCubes for making this thread because it probably helped out a lot of people.

First off, as stated it is a minecraft bug NOT a MCSG bug. It involves having a sword of some sort at the end of the game (something like that) or the other way in the lobby.
The reason the swords haven't been removed yet is because the developers are very busy and are currently dealing with some more important game breaking bugs and a LOT of general bug fixes. Taking out the swords requires a map update on ALL the servers which involves taking down all the servers so they can apply the update, similar to adding maps to the system, and the developers are waiting until they have more reasons to do a map update instead of just for the swords.
also the developers are working hard on trying fix the bug completely by finding out exactly how its done and so on so they can apply a fix to the plugin so it can't happen at all. then there would be no reason to take out the swords in the lobby.
I know the fist glitch is annoying and you want it gone but it isn't as easy as 1 2 3.

also the fist glitch is banable if you are caught abusing it enough. the only way someone can get kicked or banned is if we see that they have the fist glitch and they pick up a weapon like a sword or an ax and they do not use the weapon, instead they still use their fists.
the glitch is far more complicated then some of you think and there are a lot of variables that go into play when someone gets the fist glitch so just be patient and wait for it to get fixed.
