You know what guys? I am gonna rant, it's been a while since i got to complain.

Let's start. When i claim mcsg to be completely dead. I am not speaking about the servers themself.
Mcsg is not in any form of survival. I could compare it with Oitc on hive, but with one life. It's basically the same thing. Everyone has a route that grants them full iron.

Now to the leaderboards. Mcsg's leaderboards ought to be reset. Seriously, the win hoarding has gone too far.
2000 wins is a kind of good hint that people has played way to much. It's almost impossible for new players to become good players.

Oh, you thought i was gonna mention the moderating system did you? I can only say this:
"It doesn't work godamnit!". I don't want to start a war with the moderators on this thread so i say no more about them.
Now, to another fun subject: Maps.
The quality is so much lower. And another fun thing i've noticed. The maps are small as hell. I find it amusing when people say some maps hosts some form of quality now.
Pfft. They all are the same, small areas stuffed with tier two's.

Maps on mcsg, aren't they meant to be survival in some form? Just walking from chest to chest and kill people that takes your route too is not survival. It's just basic pvp. Everyone can win a mcsg game. It's not even hard. You just get a team, and bam, you've got an instant win.
Monsters where a part of the great survival aspect on these servers before. Now it's just for the noobs to hide in a pit and wait.

Anyone get what i mean now? And i haven't meantioned the moderatorly abused players.

Okay, this is just silly. Minecraft Survival Games has never really been defined by survival, but more PVP, even in the beginning when food and armor was more scarce, so it's unreasonable to complain about that.

Second of all, the top players have spent hours refining their skill and working towards wins. They can spend their time how they please, it does not affect you. How does leaderboards affect how good a new player becomes? It doesn't. Sure they won't be able to immediately climb into the top 100, but they can still become great and work towards number 1.

I really don't have an opinion on the moderators because they have done nothing to displease or elate me, they seem average.

Okay, now the quality of the maps has declined. They have become smaller. There are more tier twos. On the subject of decline, this is simply because of a demand for more new maps. Sure, some of them aren't as impressive, but the builders put a ton of effort into making them, and just because they don't look perfect doesn't mean they can't be fun. I love the variety of maps. There are long drawn out games on SG1, Sg3, Fallen Empire, ect. And short blast games on Sg4, Breeze Island, ect. More tier two's is not really a problem either, it just once again put's emphasis on power and PVP, which I sort of like:)

I was around when there was monsters and honestly I was happy they were removed:/ I'm sort of tired of people blasting the servers percieved flaws when there are far more positives. I understand you want change but there are ways to going about without complaining.

I really don't get the community sometimes, the favourite maps are small maps, and the big maps like hungry hills get removed. but then people complain maps are too small?

What ninetailefox said, as well as:
If you don't like the current maps, how about having no maps except the big ones? Not so fun anymore, eh?

A lot of people nowadays are failing to see the positives in MCSG. The Devs are working super hard, the vast majority of Staff are good, MapMakers are working long hours (Some of them) to create maps, and a lot of people are having fun! You gotta admit it, every time you get really focused on a game or a fight, you have fun.

And yet there are people here who are nit-picking on the so-called "Corruption" of Sr. Staff, which is a small portion of Sr. Staff, if any, the tiny maps being too easy to win on, and MCSG Dying? Not really, no.

Anyways, back on topic... MCSG is not dying. Chad and his fellow MCSG leaders have thought deeply on whether or not to add more servers. They decided to, but they wouldn't have been able to if there had been insufficient donations.
Lets think: The most popular donation is Iron. (Although I've seen more donors with the Diamond one now thats its lifetime)
Iron is $10 for 1 month.
A 24 slot server is generally, on most servers, 2 GBs of RAM.
CubedHost, owned by subv3rsion (I think), charges $32 for a 2 GB server. That means 3 Iron donations
(Of course, you have to remember that there's also Gold and Diamond donors) per month.
And how many donors do you see in your average match? A lot. Sometimes there's games in the servers that are half full of donors!

200 Servers x $32 = $6,400
Assuming that there's 3 iron donors and 1 gold donor per game (Many games have less or more.) that'd come to...
38 dollars per month? Something like that. Iron donor is $10 for 1 month, gold is $25 for 3 months, meaning something around $8 for 1 month if you buy gold. (http://shop.mcgamer.net/category/60436)
200 Servers x $38 = 7,600

Don't argue with my logic >:C Just think on it, and remember that there are games with tons of donors as well as games with no donors.

Mooclan keep in mind that Chad does not use our shared plans, otherwise that'd be a pain in the you know where for setting up servers.

Because MCSG has made lifetime donor possible there will be a possibility of losing some of the income after a year or so. But even then the worst thing that could happen would be the loss of some servers, not all. It wont die out, but it may shrink. thats what I think could happen.
