For the love of god fix the anticheat plugin or just don't use it.

Last round went fine, right until DM arrived - I couldn't move, stuck glitching back to the same spot no matter what I did (normally you can "unhook" yourself if you move towards where the server wants you to be). Was it extreme lag? Nope, everyone else was moving around smoothly, and they were sure able to smack me around just fine while I swung right through them - apparently I was using a forcefield, so it decided to not let me injure them. Forcefield worked so well that they killed me.

TL;DR: The anticheat plugin is like a bad joke. Please fix it or find a suitable replacement in the interim.

Sometimes, the server thinks you are blocking/sneaking when you really aren't. That's why it kept pushing you back. Just hit shift a few times, or right click with your sword. That should fix it. All servers that have an anti-cheat like plugin will have the issue, because it's the server that thinks your sneaking, not anti-cheat thinking your hacking.

As for not being able to hit people - it's a known issue for average players. They can't just "fix" it though, it's not nearly that easy. Give it time.

. . . no, you're completely misunderstanding. I mean I can stand there, facing someone who's not moving, and swing right through them. This has happened to both me AND the people I'm fighting. We've stood there, nose to nose, and swung through each other for zero damage over and over and over. Eventually we just give up and wander off.

No no, you took what I said the completely wrong way - I'm saying that I know the issue, I've personally had it before, and the staff know about it too. I can relate to your frustration. All I'm saying is that posting this thread wasn't really necessary, the issue is all over the forum, and they are already working on it. Trust me, some other people would have been a lot more rude about saying that then I just was. I honestly am having a hard time finding what part of it made you think I was even politely calling you a noob...how else can I give you information that's any nicer than that? :|

Oh, I get it. Yeah, when I said "average" players, I didn't mean it like that. I meant non-hacker players (Because I was talking about anti-cheat and forcefield hack stuff.) I guess I should have been more specific, I could have chosen a better word.

The staff are definitely aware of the problem, but it probably won't be fixed until Bukkit 1.4.2 comes out. It might be though, so don't take me too seriously for that. But it would make more sense to do that only after the initial bugs that the new bukkit will have brought will be fixed.

Lost another match just now. Had full iron armor in the clock tower of SG2, got chased up by someone with no armor and a diamond sword. Went to take it from them with the wooden sword I found... yep, they stood perfectly still and punched my nose in while I swing through them over and over and over. Lame.
