Maybe. Adding like a 3 second period would be fine because I hate getting punched while goin got spawn.

Here's why we don't have a grace period, and probably never will. Going to the cornucopia on these servers is a gamble. You rush in and grab a few things and run off. If you manage to grab a sword, you may get a kill or two off spawn as well. However, someone who has a sword may kill you directly off spawn. If they added a grace period, the cornucopia wouldn't be a gamble anymore, it'd be an essential.

Grace period has been suggested several times and won't be implemented. It makes going for the corn less risky and makes the game not as fun.

If your computer takes 30 seconds to load the corn, then you will not be able to play MCSG even if there is a grace period.

The cornicorpia is a place that should send fear, although it doesn't because it is farily safe, I dont die at corn veyr often, imagine adding a grace period, how safe would that be?
