They should seriously add a rule on the forums about posting a new thread when there are
already about 100 threads about it anyway...
There is such a thing, I think.
To the thread owner:
Hi guys.
This day was the worst day in my life. I played like 25 matches of survival games and all 25 servers were FULL of hackers.
Ok, there are quite a number of hackers on the servers, but not that many.
I couldn't do anything about it, no mods no admins online. I didn't know what to do, even if I want to report them, I fail, because I don't know how to report them, it's very complicated for me.
Its not complicated, its very easy to do, follow these steps:
- Get a recording software such as bandicam
- Record the hacker
- Upload to YouTube
- Create a thread here: http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/forums/Report/ Use the template
- Moderator will check the evidence and possibly will ban the person
Or
- Get TeamSpeak
- Connect to ts.mcgamer.net
- Find and poke a moderator not a Sr. Mod or Admin. Only poke a Sr. Mod if there aren't any moderators around
- Tell them where the hackers is and what his name is.
And I encountered a team with 5... so... I don't know if it's allowed or not. I heard that you're allowed with 4... but I'm not sure.
Teams are allowed here, no matter the size.
I always say in the chat: Where are the mods? I want to report a player! and no response, nothing, the staff is doing nothing. I never saw a moderator banning a player or to kick him. NEVER. I don't know either what a moderator does!
There is no "Global Chat" where moderators can see every single message in all the servers, so just shouting out "Mods, I want to report a player" won't help at all. The chances of you finding a moderator in a server (excluding the hub) is 2%. Best way to contact them is through TeamSpeak.
This is not a message to good moderators, witch probably are doing their jobs as well, but I am talking to non-active moderators.
Every moderator does their job. Last month, even though I spent a total of 5 hours moderating the community, they were spent towards report abuses and help fellow moderators with their evidence. Inactive staff members are removed. So you are basically saying this to every staff member.
Let me tell you a story: Once I joined a server with the map called "Chernobyl 2015". After 10 minutes I was being chased by a hacker, witch he used of course speed hack to kill me faster, but with kill aura, Ok, so I was being killed by a hacker, and then in the spectators chat there was a friend that told me he will bring a mod here to see what the hell is going on. Ok, so the mod joined. I asked him what he's gonna do, and he answered me: Did anyone record him?
That's what he said. I couldn't believe that he said that. Even the moderator wants to report? He tottaly didn't do his job. He could ban him imediatelly, but nothing happened. Only a few words: I know, I know ; Don't worry, don't worry ; No problem. And at the deadmatch, (he had a team) he killed the player in an instant, using kill aura, regen hack, speed hack, kill aura etc. And guess who won! His teammate! Because he probably saw that there is a mod, and he turned his hacks off, and let his partner win, just because he think that the mod wasn't going to ban him. Whatever.
What a lovely story, I love stories.
The moderator was doing his job, to save time in recording and upload, review evidence etc etc, he would just ask other players to see if they have their own evidence ready to be reviewed. This makes banning hackers a lot quicker. So he was doing his job correctly.
Moderators do not ban on the spot, they need to have
valid evidence in order to ban someone.
One day everybody will stop playing on MCSG, because if that's the community MCSG has... no one will think again: Hey, let's play survival games on mcsg! they will think: Nope, I'm not gonna play in this server, hackers everywhere.
It's so hard to win a game those days, because the hackers are dominating MCSG, they are the kings here.
Last time I heard, we get new players all the time and we reached 5 million games. Yes players leave. Yes there are a few hackers around, but that is how a network runs. This network has been through a lot and still doing very well. MCGamer Network will be around for a while.
We are just their victims, can't stop them
You can do something about it, read up a bit to see how you can help.
AGAIN - THIS IS NOT A MESSAGE TO GOOD MODERATORS, ONLY TO NON-ACTIVE MODS.
Its a message to all the staff members, see why up above.
If you think that the mods are allowed to do that, please reply to this message.
