I've played MCSG for a very good while now, and have always enjoyed it. Even enjoyed getting beaten. But only by people who are legit. It seems like a large amount of hacks have made their way onto the servers lately (especially ca.) and, if I have a team, the hackers can be beaten, but I don't want to NEED to have a team to play and win MCSG. It ruins your score getting betrayed and killed by your team and the hackers, and it can be upsetting. I'm curious. Is there a way, besides fraps hack reports, that hacks can be detected and rid of? Could something similar to what DayZ does be archived, where the .jar and files are checked for cheats? I trust that Chad will have to do something about it eventually, bur right now, simple hack reports aren't really do a huge amount. They are definitely do a good amount of work, but not enough to where I wouldn't meet at least 4 hackers every time I sit down to play. Can a mod or Java developer provide some insight on what can be done? (Anyone can comment on their thoughts though.)

If you get killed by a hacker or see a hacker, try recording them and sending in a Report Abuse, or poke a mod on TeamSpeak. That's really all that can be done for now.

As much as we'd like to stop hackers, there's no real way of completely preventing hacks without requiring everyone to use a custom client that verifies itself, and that won't happen for obvious reasons (unless Mojang implements it into the game).

We're definitely working on tuning NCP to be more effective at catching hackers, while at the same time producing less false positives (and therefore less rubber banding).

The most you can do to help for now is report every person you believe is hacking. Reports are dealt with swiftly, and by reporting hackers, you're helping the community as a whole on its path to becoming hacker-free.

Listen to those two ^
And it is quite possible to win without a team. Lately, I have more solo wins than team wins.
