Hackusating ...

I'm sure this is an issue that is widely addressed throughout PvP servers. But hackusating is something that many of us players come across every single day. It can get rather annoying for us. I can only talk personally about this issue however.

Here is a screenshot of my ping to MCGamer (EU). I am sure that some will have an even lower ping. Along with this, it's very frequent to be called a pinger. Which is just nonsense. I'm not too aware of the effect of ping with regards to hits and PvP in general. But I would stray towards the idea of a lower ping being more beneficial.

Another thing is clicking speed. Now in 1.8 I thought that click speed was not as important. I average around 7 to 9cps. I know that it's not the best, but I thought I would just make that known. This is all just simple background information about what could lead people to think we are hacking.

I would love to see this whole hackusation concept dealt with as I am sure I'm not the only one who gets affected by it. In fact it just happened to me in a game I just played, hence why I feel like this thread is relevant. If there is already a thread about this issue, may you please link it below as I would love to see the feedback and whether or not it will be dealth with.

Yeah, our filters for swearing and trash talking don't really do much. It would be good to block this, but it would be incredibly difficult

I agree, we block out curse words. But as far as I am aware, that is where it ends?

It's not really an issue. If you aren't hacking, then you should have nothing to worry about. It's only an issue if that user starts abusing you, in which case you should report it.

Yes exactly!
Also, hackusating is annoying sometimes, especially when you are not hacking, but it's beneficial towards us moderators as sometimes, these hackusations are correct. As Scott said, if you are not hacking then you have nothing to worry about. Hackusating itself is not against the MCGamer Rules but if it gets out of hand to the point of harassment, please feel free to report these people!
As for being called a "pinger", I've had similar incidents. Just ignore them! They only say that you are a "pinger" to justify losing to you

Soo many people have been banned for hacks when they don't hack.

Well, yes it happens, but not as much as people think. And, most of them can appeal it and get unbanned fairly easily.

I agree that hackusating should be illegal. The amount of "He hax, team on him!" I get is just insane.

And when someone hackusates, often the hacker turns off his hacks and evades getting banned.

In my opinion it's best to keep quiet in chat about who might be hacking, if you suspect someone is using hacks do /report or Leave the game if you can and go to lobby and ask a mod to watch that person. This way the so called hacker may not have a chance to toggle or their TS or Skype team mate can't tell them what's going on. Also, it's best to get a second opinion as alot of things can contribute to players appearing as if they may hack, eg: extreme lag, good ping, experienced pvpers, especially to people who are new to the game.
