I was thinking of getting some friends together to build a map for the games, to then post to the community to see if they like it. How big is the sphere round the edge of the world? Is there any limit or fixed radius? Cheers

Depence, you can choose whatever you want really. But Im suggesting 200-500 as a radius(400-100 in diameter)

All the maps we have now are of a fairly different size. I'm pretty sure you can download a sphere somewhere in the Map Discussions section, why don't you use that?

Yes and make sure it isn't too big or small. If it is too big or small it will be shunned

What about Solar Frost? That's TINY, and it's a bunch of people's favourite or close to favourite map! And SG3 too! It's massive, but I still love it!

The size depends on your building experience, and the quality of your computer.

Even though im more of a PvW person,(player versus world for you newbies ;) ) go with a smaller map to keep in sinc with the community's preferences. Also, while making my map's dome I have had 10+ total crashes before a dome of 350 radius generated correctly, so smaller is good if you have a bad computer.

I think you mean depence. It really works in this situation better.
