I don't think it would make it to MCSG.

The fact that it was the original map and that rush of nostalgia that it gives players is the thing that keeps it around. I still don't have a route for it, I just go to the boat then run around! :p

What would you say if you gave feedback on SG1. Keep in mind to hit on the same points that you would for the new maps that people submit.

Oh wow, what a question.
I feel like there might be a chance of it being demolished.
Though I'd like to think it'd do fine, but that's just because of the nostalgia.

I agree. It has a great nostalgia. But the point is to pretend like you've never seen it before. Judge it purely for what it is, not the classical value. What would be your first impressions?

Hmm, let's see now.
Spawn - kinda simple, but nice straightforward place to have deathmatch.

Map Size - A bit too big, at least based on what other popular maps are like.

Detail/structures - the ones that are there are nice and well build, and though it may be what the map maker is going for, the map at times kinda just seems like endless forests with no significant land marks.

Due to the size and theme of the map, there are too many places for people to hide, resulting in games taking too long and lots of running around.

That's all I can come up with. I'll still end up being bias if I try to come up with a final answer.

Here's my honest map review.

Well, the terraforming is really good. It almost looks vanilla generated. Almost. The sheer amount of trees is astonishing, and not in a good way. The builds, the few there are, are decent. There is too much water. Add more landmass around the edge of the map. Also, add a ton of more builds. This entire map is trees. When I test played this map with a few friends, we had trouble finding any significant landmarks. The corn is really boring too. The large amount of one block wide lava traps really hurts this map. The large amount of the time they're hidden by grass, by the leaves of a tree, or just other things. All in all, I see potential. You need to add more builds to get my vote.

In reality, I love SG1 for what it is. It is the original. It's what sparked one of the biggest and most popular gamemode in Minecraft.

It wouldn't, but it will never be removed for obvious reasons.

Its the original map it should stay in the list of maps. If it leaves the list mcsg wouldn't have a map called the survival games.

With today's current themes, and expectations-- SG 1 would be definitely in the tough. I do believe however, myself included, that if it were to be removed, many people would be disappointed. For the people who've been in-game since beta-- that's like a home of sorts. That map was what started off on these servers, and really what started the "Survial Games/Hunger Games" frenzy in minecrsft.

I will always have a love for that map no matter what, simply for the fact I actually do enjoy playing on it, and it's like a piece of history. That was the first map, and that's something most people will never forget :p
Hah! If SG1 were to be removed, I would first go absolutely nuts, spouting gratuitous amounts of verbal abuse at every senior staff member I could see, then deactivate my account and never return to MCSG again 3:
