I agree, the community has definitely changed a lot, especially since I first joined here. The overall tone of the forums has changed. Everybody used to be so upbeat and helpful, but now people are over critical and sometimes just plain mean.

Here is an example of what I mean when I say the community used to be so upbeat:

Notice how everyone actually acknowledges the the post, thanking Ducky for such a great thread? I mean, that got 35 well deserved likes. Now, I'd be surprised if it even received 10. You see, back then we all actually appreciated a well written and original thread like that. This type of acknowledgement and appreciation rarely happens anymore. It was at this moment that I realized how different we had become as a community.

As TheRandomMan said, nowadays every thread is the nearly same; "Top player this", "Top clan that". In the olden days, someone could make a thread titled "I climbed the highest point in SG2" and everyone would post "OMG That's awesome." But nowadays, there would be numerous comments saying "pointless thread, stop you suck!"

This is the community I miss, the one that I hope will someday return.

I wasn't here back then but this post seems to me what all the posts looked like back then(from your description). If so, I hope we can get back to that level of thought, so to speak.
