My MCSG Story
Hey guys this is InsanePickaxe and I've noticed lots of people doing their MCSG stories and I have been putting off doing my own for a while now, but I have finally decided I would do my own so lets get started.
So basically I started of as your casual PS3 gamer playing first person shooters, Fifa, need for speed and all those other games. I would play all these games with my friends but then after a while I gradually realised I was mostly playing by my self (Forever alone). On the walks to school every day I head my friends talking about this game called Minecraft and this was all new to me. I never expected to playing a game which consisted of pixel blocks. Hearing of the game as it became more and more popular and my friends talking about them all playing on their own server was making me very jealous so one day I went along and bought the game for my self. After getting the game I was surprised to find it amusing wondering around my friends server building things but even though I was a decent builder I found it to not be much of my thing. So I went of in search of a new experience in servers, after a while of going through many "Average" servers I came across a load of hunger games servers which I thought would be good because I liked the book and film. I found these to be very amusing so I introduced my friends to it and we would run as far away as possible at the start dig a little base then make some equipment to help us hopefully win. These servers had 120 players and me and my friend found our selves in the winning position only once after a month of playing which was not satisfying enough. Then these servers started turning bad they would lag, there was hackers and we just wanted a better experience. So me and my friends carried on playing on our own server for quite a while until eventually there it was my friend had found MCSG. My friends names were MarshMan and Pressure_Wave.
July/August: So finally we had found these servers and we were all very fond of them and really enjoying ourselves. I remember my first game on the survival games as we all started off on our pedestals on Over Grown Arena it was tense I could feel my palms slightly starting to sweat. We rushed to the middle and all escaped with a few decent things. We followed Marsh for the whole game seeing as he had played the game longer than us and was the lesser of us noobs. Eventually we all died before Death match with me falling into a trap and the others getting ambushed by a guy with good stuff. Even though we lost we had a lot of fun and carried on playing for a long time. Eventually one day some weeks after it was just me and Marsh playing on SG2 and we had eventually developed a route and tactics on this beautiful map that staggered me every time I played on it. We would collect a route of about 20 chests then we rushed to refill which to our surprise was not taken. Eventually it got to Death Match and it was a forced Death Match due to running out of time and it was me and Marsh against another fully decked team. Having discussed what we would do we rushed straight up the vines and camped on top. My heart was beating at this point but we did it we had managed to take out the other team and win the Survival games. So I let Marsh kill me and he got his very first win! Then next game the very same thing happened and we had both gotten our first wins! At this point we were loving Survival Games and would go on as soon as we got home from school until we had to go late at night.
September/October: At this point I had managed to rack up 8 wins and was really enjoying playing. Then I met two players in game on the new lobby Minecraft_man and MightyMitch666 I managed to persuade them to let me team with them pretending I was in their clan #Critical ^^ we played a lot of games together and got a lot of wins together those guys were awesome =P Then just as the new maps like SG4 and Breeze Island came out I met a new player called Bluemoonp (He has left now) who was by far the most awesome guy I met and he started to team with me and MarshMan. Generally playing with him was very fun and he would normally let me or MarshMan win. At this point found my self to be getting a bit better at Pvp thanks to playing with other good players.
