IS MCSG A DYING CAUSE?
The First thing I have to say to this question is no, but I will get to why I purposed the topic later. My opinion for this question will always be no (Except for extreme cases) because this hub for a mass amount of servers is (in my opinion) the best as of right now. I love these servers and will only leave to make fun of the Hive players for being bad a PvP xD. These servers have the best plugins and plugin ideas that no one can beat including The hive or The fridge. Now I will move on to why I even asked this question in the first place. Maps, are becoming a huge issue for MCSG. I mean, we have plenty of maps and they are all amazing but I am talking about the "Big 2" map creators maps. Whilst I made those air quotes I was referring to the two most popular and well know Survival Games map creators. If you haven't guessed yet I am talking about Teweran, and Vareide. After Teweran 2 becoming a smash hit on the MCSG I was highly anticipating the release of the third. I had heard rumors of it and went onto their youtube channel to see if they had any progress completed in video form. I was happy to see a time lapse of a huge swamp. The terrain and actual objects were absolutely beautiful, everything you would expect from such an expert build team. I was then even more excited for the release of this map. At the time, Bajan was still playing on MCSG and had not yet been caught for using better sprint. Before Bajan had gotten banned I had heard of the Hive, but never actually went on it. It was like a memory you store in the back of the head, I never thought it was going to be a bit of a downfall for the MCSG. A bit later down the timeline Bajan had finally been caught for using better sprint and got banned for 7 days. 7 days later there was no episode on the MCSG, now a new foreign server popped up and was getting gang banged by the mass amount of fans that wanted to play with Mitch. 2 months later i indulged myself into Teweran's youtube and found a trailer for Teweran 3 that came out that day. I watched 'till the end and it said play now and listed 2 servers but no MCSG. I will get back to Teweran later but I also want to say that the MCSG one of the oldest continually run Survival Servers did not receive Survival Games 6 when it came out a couple days ago. I can not blame Teweran just because they had a reason to not give their map to us, maybe not a good one, but certainly a reason either way. Vareide on the other hand, I have no idea and I will begin to research their reasons as soon as I finish this post. This finally brings me to my point will MCSG begin to die out because of the quality maps they aren't receiving. Think about this, if The Hive are receiving these amazing maps people will want to play them A LOT. Could this be the downfall of MCSG and could it have been prevented with one less ban? I don't think so and I Pray not. The reason I say no after this evidence on why you should say yes are broken into three main reasons.
1.The community is amazing and everyone is friendly and really not all that competitive whilst in the lobby. (which is usually good)
2.The plugins are amazing and unique and will always beat other servers.
2.5 The players on the Hive SUCK and i am not kidding I consider myself a slightly experienced player and every game I play its not even a challenge, I have not lost a single game on the hive.
3. Whilst I have been playing on the ca servers for a while I have gained a group of friends and 1 or 2 enemies whom are always fun to have a good talk with, if I were to leave, the memory of those people would as well and that is something I would prefer not to happen.
I still will go on the other servers once and a while to play unique maps but MCSG is my home and I plan to keep it that way.
