The point system on MCSG is not proper from my perspective. I have around 500 bounty right now. When i die in a match i loose about 20 of those points. I know how it works but i believe is is too exagerated in the amount lost compared to how much you have. If i have 500 bounty and i die in a match, a more reasonable amount to loose is 10 or so, seeing that the lowest amount given is 5.

Also, points kind of reflect your skill, kind of. Not really, but they do. If you have 20 points, then that's your skill level, and you should be fine with it. Some people maintain 1000 points, as they get at least a few kills per game. My recommendation: don't fret over the mostly meaningless points. They're always there, but they're not really there as a goal for you. It's more of a fun thing to have then a gameplay status.

I agree
Once you get to a certain point in your points then it will show your skill level
If you have 100 or so points you have an average 1 kill per game
When you get to like 2000 points, then i takes at least 5 or 6 kills per game to maintain your bounty
I thought points were a system of " how much you can get" but it is just a skill level

I maintain 3200 points thats until i bountied them. My friend bountied my friend then my friend won and got 4000 bounty than he bountied me and I won so i got the bountie than i won my next to games and got and extra 400 bounty. Than i was at 8200 and i was like damn. So i bountied some random guy 5000 than later i bounted 3000 than i was left with 200 so i bountied 69 3 times.im still trying to get my points back

Although the extreme gain and loss is exactly what people have developed to make it challenging to actually maintain the point score you are okay with. Take away that loss- and everyone, even if you lose most of the time, will have thousands of points instead of the low amount they would at this point. They would easily get there from one good killstreak, and they'd lose it very very slowly, if ever. I don't think changing the way it is now would be for the best.

Well before the bounty system points actually said something about your skill now i think its just what people use to show off i mean before if you see a person with a 3000 or 2000 bounty it meant he's probably really good and that you should watchout for thoes people but now it wont even catch my attention.I actually think they should increase the ammount of points that u loose since it is way too easy to get points for example in just 2 or 3 matches i went form 0 to 1350 bounty :D which would make me feel accomplished before but now not i don't even care. Also not to mention i see people with 20 wins /500 games played have a 40,000 point bounty which is ridiculous.

It's a 5% loss, that's perfectly fine....
