Is there a new type of regen hack?

Look at this. He burns for 37 ticks, but doesn't die. I know not all of them count, but for the amount of time he stood there it should've easily killed him. Tried in Survival with his level of armor and didn't last nearly as long as he did in the video. No gapple particles, no video cuts, no fast extinguishing, nothing. He just chills in the fire for an extended period of time.

I'm kinda worried about what this means for catching regen hackers. Obviously the water walking here made this guy a moot point, but if someone who isn't utterly brain-dead tries to use it, I'm not sure how he'll be possible to catch other than someone just hitting him over and over again for a really long time. Is there some sort of new hacked client with much more untraceable hacks?

Well if there is a new regen hack, all you can really do is hope that the devs will code some plugin to make regen hacks un-usable.
