Your trying to argue when i was talking about the teaming aspect -_-
I'm not trying to argue, you said it was ok to team because there were teams in the books. I just pointed out that you shouldn't compare the books to the actual game, since in the books you can kill anyone with any arrow, and in the game you can't.

lmao kid you think you know whats going on, get out of my internet.

I really have no hate towards teams really, well ok maybe a little frustration when I see something bigger than a three team. But hey, at one point of time we've gotten together with our clan or our group of friends to team together and have a fun time! Or maybe you're a streamer and you want to give back to your followers by making their day if you play with them. Those are few reasons of why people team, to have fun! Then there are the boosting teams, but don' worry, the mods can take care of that. :p

Please stop referring to the book. In the book, Katniss was able to kill someone with one arrow.. On MCSG that's obviously not possible

So we can't compare MCSG to the very book it's based upon? You have a point that they aren't completely identical, with how a bow can one-hit kill someone in the book, but not in-game, but that's not what's being related here. What's being related is the hunger game idea itself, not how real life weapons work.
Our game is based off the idea of 24 player games, gather your gear, and fight to the death till one tribute is left alive using any means necessary. That is what the book is representing, and that's where the idea of Survival Games came from. That's why he's saying teaming is alright since it was in the book, for it's one of the few tactics people used in the book to win in this bloody game.
You can compare the game to the book, for that's where it's from, the whole idea of it.

Now for my thoughts on this teaming thing. Seeing that 5 team, from a study that I did a while back (Thread Here), a 5 team from our sample of games is super uncommon. (It's worth to note that this study was done before the LBU, so the odds now could be different.) However, I personally do not see anything wrong with it. I'm in the same boat that it's difficult to defeat a team of this size, but it's just that group is doing a smart tactic of increasing their odds of winning.
At a baseline, a solo player has a 1/23 chance of winning at a full 24 player game, that's a 4.34% chance of winning. Now, that chance can be increased by the player's skill, and whatever tactics they use throughout the game. Teaming is considerably the best and easiest way of increasing those odds. This 5 team here, increases their odds to 5/19, or a 24%. Now, they still have to be the last man standing, and from their team, they have a baseline of 1/5, 20% of winning within their team, not factoring in their skill and their teammates skill.
I know that's a lot of numbers to look at, but I see it as a simple tactic of increasing your odds of winning. If I want to try to win, I'll team up with someone to increase my chances of survival. If I don't, I'm purposely putting myself at a disadvantage of winning. It's a game of putting the odds in your favor, and I don't have a problem with people improving their odds of success.

I was in a game by myself, and I saw this: http://gyazo.com/b5433cf702c836e5ed9829e013856a1d

I'm not against teaming in any way, shape or form. If anything at the moment playing with friends seems to be the only way to win games nowadays as a result of all the hackers currently on EU. (I can't say about other regions as I don't play in other regions)

But underneath all that, is this really acceptable? In the screenshot you'll notice that they aren't exactly all 'geared to the max'. However looking at the time of the match, it's almost time for refill. Meaning that this team by the end, was packing full iron and at least an iron sword. With me being not as well geared, I was sat up at my choke-point. Even this didn't work, granted with my limited resources there is only so much one can do to attempt at overcoming a team like this.

I'm not asking for hate, but for help. With teams like this becoming evermore frequent, there just isn't enough we can do to take them out. So when faced with a team like this, what could you do?!
I feel your pain. Almost everyone goes through this... unless they're the ones teaming.

No b/c I has no ones to play with. :(

The main reason actually why MCGamer won't take out teaming is because then it wouldn't be a community, it'd just be a server with people playing because no one could play together. Also, teams were always a prominent part of MCSG weren't they? Just move on to the next game.

The main reason behind no making a team limit is that is would kill the clan community as people can have battle up to a 8v8 now in that picture most likely that could be someone boosting or a clan simply playing the game. I see how people get mad at it but it is a part of the game and the original hungers games movies and book. I hope this small statement helps you think about it more. If you want i can explain it in my detail if you would REALLY want me to.
Yeah, and in the hungers games movies and books the games weren't 30 minutes, there weren't chest routes, and everyone was a 1 shot kill. There was also very rarely food and armor. You could also destroy the environment, and it happened once a year.

The "it's in the books and movies" argument is a load of crap and you know it.

Everything I could suggest to you, you already have seemed to do. All I can say from experiencecis just run and chokepoint and pray for the best. Believe it or not, I enjoy running into large teams every once in a while. It makes things interesting instead of just fighting solo players or teams of two all the time ^.^

I take teaming as a challenge. Nothing feels as good as taking out a three team :D

Clans would be ruined if there was a cap on team size.
