Lag, me or the Servers?

During the day my MCSG gameplay is very good. Lag free, good ping etc. I live in central timezone. When it gets about 7-8 o'clock at night, the server starts to lag. When I click on the quick join sign or any sign, it takes about 10-15 second to be transported to the lobby. When I am in the lobby, I start to walk around and then I get lagged back to the spawn point. later the game starts, the map loads instantly, but everything is frozen. My game catches up just as there is 5 seconds left in pregame. sometimes during the game I start to timeout.
I regularly have a 65-70ms ping, but when 7 o clock hits, I drop to 3 bars and I get 100ms ping. 100 isn't even that bad but, it causes so much lag. I can't figure out what the issue is. Is it the server? Or my internet? If someone can please give me an explanation, that would be great!

Probably lag on the server; I have heard of people getting major lag. I checked for mysef and mostly everyone was getting a 4 to a 1 bar, so I'm guessing it is the server. Mcsg is trying to fix lots of bugs right now, so I bet It will be fixed very shortly. I hope you understand!
