Lava and Water Bucket Demon Breeze

I was wondering if this is a hack or a glitch because i was in a game and apparently this is a thing.

This is also possible on Solar Frost, but with lava.

i mean making it... like are you allowed to make a bucket and use the lava?

You aren't allowed to place the lava or water from buckets as far as I'm aware, it's considered to be form of block glitching. I may be wrong though :s

Well, In Fallen Empire in the coliseum theres some lava and a chest you can't access. I crafted a bucket, placed some water and placed the water. It only made 1 obsidian block and I could get the chest I mean, is that OP? It wasn't even a tier 2, lol.
