Lobby games lag

I haven't seen a thread like this so I decided to go on and post it myself.

On the new map, lobby games, where the parkour tree is and the main part it used to be lobby I just lag so much. If I get out of that part no more lag. I have some friends experiencing it too. Anyone experiencing incredible amounts of lag too?

I get lag like if I was playing on extreme render distance. I'm mostly complaining as on the part I lag is where all the good chests are *spoiler*

I never lag. Its only on that part of the map. all the complete map is perfect except that part.

I have that too and I run way more FPS on every map other than Lobby Games, I guess it's because of all the blocks/activity that's in that specific spot.

Are you all running 1.7?

Yes, I'm running 1.7.4. I have 5gb of ram assigned for minecraft for it to load big things like this, yet I still get a vast amount of lag. I see others having it too —from everyone comments.

All my skype friends run 1.7 and they get the lag, but I run 1.6 and get no lag. I wonder if these are related....
