Lobby Timer

As you all probably know the mcsg lobby timer is 2 and a half minutes, in my opinion this timer is far too long and should be reduced. Most of the time 10 or so people join within the first 30 seconds of the lobby opening and then they have to wait 2 minutes for the lobby to end, then another 30 in pregame. Furthermore I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way, but when on a loss streak or wanting to win plenty of games you look for the game that has the shortest timer because you don't want to be sitting around waiting.
Personally I think an ideal timer would be 1.5 minutes, it is well balanced between waiting time and giving time for people to join and vote.
Please comment your opinion/idea on what you think the timer should be.

Many people like to do things in that time, for example:

• Grab something to eat/drink, or go to the toilet.

• A nice amount of time to actually vote is quite good for skipping map suggestions and whatever.

• People like to come and go, so if you were to enter a lobby then had to leave for a certain reason after like 1 and a half minutes then there wouldn't be much time for other people to actually join. Or being kicked by a donator and wanting to join again might be a problem if having it short.

Yeah, the timers are a bit long but by the looks of things there implementing a pvp in the lobby thing, i mean look at those targets and there's bows in the chests! These might become useless if they decrease the timer length

I like the long timer. I always join the lobby, then while waiting I go on the forums ^.^

Those are just there for looks. It's supposed to be the training area for the Hunger Games movies. If you've been around for a while you'll know why there's no weapons in the lobbies.

Maybe there should be a poll or something made about it, because alot of people I have talked to want the timer reduced.

The timer originally used to be five minutes, and we shortened it because that was simply too long. Two and a half minutes was a good time because it gave people time to go to the bathroom, it allowed for enough time for people to join the lobbies, and for them to fill up, and with the timer any shorter, it kind of diminishes the need for a lobby.

All in all, the lobby timer is not going to be shortened.
