This thread does not help the situation at all. It's good that hacker reports are spreading, it's helping the community become less hacker infested. As for the cancer part, you could have said something else, you might not take offence to it, but other people do.
My grandmother died from cancer, but i'm not offended as much as some more sensitive people can be. Be more polite on the forums and have a nice day.

I don't understand how you guys are getting stuck in that one word, I mean me and my friends use it all the time if we are talking about something bad yet common, and you shouldn't get offended by this as I didn't mean it in an offensive way 'gg10 eZ' isn't offensive, why is 'cancer'? If some of your family members have cancer, and I say 'cancer' why would you get offended as my intention wasn't to offend you? I apologize to everyone I offended but I feel like I needed ro use an extreme word, as MCG is going in the direction of extreme stupidity. MCG in general is getting worse, excluding the great/good members :3

To be fair, a definition of cancer is
•a practice or phenomenon perceived to be evil or destructive and hard to contain or eradicate.

So you guys seem to be getting a bit riled up over not a huge deal, although I feel like the title was made to be attention-grabbing.

It's not really what you said, but how you said it, if you said something like; "It's spreading like an illness" that would be find, but saying "it's spreading like cancer" is quite offensive to someone like me, who has lost members of their family due to cancer. Also, I'd like to point out that cancer isnt a contagious disease.

I would like you to calm down, as I already apologized from the people I offended. I used the word in a metaphorical way, and also read RC's post, and don't just full on attack because of one word.

I don't think I attacked in anway, I'm just a little upset is all. You don't know the pain I went through loosing my grandma from cancer, and seeing my grandad really ill aswell.

My friends and I use some very inappropriate language when alone, that doesn't mean I would say it in public/post what we say on the internet. For example, someone may not believe in god, but that doesn't mean they run into a church yelling "God is fake you're all looneys" or whatever.

Hi guys! Just a quick reminder here, please keep the flame to a minimum. I understand cancer may be taken very seriously by some, my grandma died of cancer two weeks ago, and others are taking offense to this. Now that doesn't mean it's offensive, but it's still hurting people's feelings.

Next time when writing a thread, please use a title that will grab the attention of people, but not cause an argument. This thread has some good points in my opinion, there are a lot of unneeded and unnecessary threads that are of poor quality, and that is a relevant topic of discussion, so let's talk about that instead of arguing about the offensiveness of the title.
