So, 1.7 came out! Yay! BSM for everyone!!

But seriously, "The update that changed the world!" Agreed, but for the worse and by miles. Firstly, if before only about 1/3 of my clicks were registering as hits, then now less than 1/6 do. When fighting, I can not sneak attack anyone because Minecraft is so clever and it thinks that I am hacking by clicking 6.5 times a second!! Now, that is me, what about Blamph? 10.2 times a second, will he get any hits? I have managed to constantly lose games today, except one, which is really not a normal day for someone with 695+ wins...

Another thing that this update did is that it gave people with longer fingers an advantage. Myself, having medium hands, I can't play whilst using TAB, f5, the stupid sprint key, space and the WASDE with one hand, that is not including the occasional need to sneak. What was the point of adding this key? To make the whole world of Minecraft a place for hackers and bees (if you don't get the reference, go to pre-school).
Now, the main problem, MCSG are completely ignoring the fact that so many of the older players are pointing out that Minecraft is getting worse by the update, and that they want at least 5 or 6 1.2.5 servers in each region, no! MCSG update to every new, flawlessly worsening update! Why would you do this? I have a feeling that MCSG isn't going to stay popular for very long if it continues following on in Mojang's footsteps.

Now, I may sound like I am raging... I AM!

MCSG, please return!

I'm not too big of a fan of 1.7.2 either, but it I don't think it's as bad as you made it appear to be.

All those hours gone into getting better at double tap, for nothing. ;-;

I haven't got any problems with hitting though- I click at roughly your speed and have won 8/11 games since the update.

This really looks like one of those "minecraft is going downhill" melodramatic complaints. I dont want to be or sound rude but I dont really think the problem you've been experiencing is form the update since its working perfectly fine for me.... and I dont even have a good computer or internet!
I really dont know what to tell you but I dont really understand what you mean by "following Mojang's footsteps"... I've been reading complaints saying minecraft is going downhill and getting worse form update to update for a very long time already, but all I've seen is the number of purchases increasing more and more...

I think some aspects of it are alright but others aren't too good. I guess not everyone enjoys change :)

It is a common misconception that the faster you click, the more times you will hit an entity. At slow speeds, this is quite true for obvious reasons however if quantified, it does not scale to higher levels. Honestly, I can hit faster by clicking at a certain rate rather than clicking as fast as I can. Somewhat correlated to this, Minecraft can only register a certain amount of clicks/hits per second rendering extremely fast clicking near useless.

Furthermore, the 1.7.x update brings a decent performance increase to most users as it changes quite a bit internally such as the rendering algorithm used by Minecraft.

You mention older players complain that Minecraft worsens with each update...
To that, I simply would like to say as an old player that I love this update.

I like it quite a bit to be honest. Once you find the right controls for your sprint, you'll get used to it in no time

I believe this update is actually very good for mcsg because everyone is now on an even playing field when it comes to sprinting. Also, no more unfair BSM bans :)

I do agree with most of what you say as a old player myself; To add the "Sprint Button" is not like BSM because when you are hit while using it your sprint will stop. It's just a bit faster than double-tapping W; That is the only difference from 1.6.4 Sprint and 1.7.2 Sprint.
