Minecraft 1.7.2 and why it does not deserve to exist

Technically you can, the server just has to have "sprint in all directions" enabled, its disabled by default.

I think this is very extensive to say the least. First off, minecraft is not going down hill for a looooooooooongggg time! Do you know how small the number of people there are that actually care about the stuff you mentioned? Not most players. Also, the sprint button, while annoying (I have it binded to shift and changed shift to ctrl, so much easier) has been requested by probably at least a couple million minecraft players. They're going with the majority vote. While I understand your being upset by the freaking bullcrap inability to hit, and the sprint glitch annoys me too, I'm fairly sure those are problems with the newest NCP adjusting to 1.7, not 1.7 itself. In fact, having my own survival server I play on with YouTubers, I LOVE the update! The biomes are amazing, stained glass beautiful, fishing interesting, more redstone features for mapmakers, it's great!

You do know you can go to controls and change everything right? My f5 is now c. You can change the placement of pretty much everything for thos of you with short hands.

After reading your post, I must say that I don't agree with much of it. I do know that there are some bugs, but I'm sure that Mojang is working on fixing many of the bugs that people playing on the MCSG servers are experiencing.
However, I don't think that you should bad-mouth Mojang too much. Remember that MCSG was made for Minecraft, not Minecraft for MCSG. I think that to get the true experience of the update, you have to play some single-player or survival. Besides containing 'BSM', Minecraft 1.7 added great new biomes, some new blocks, and neat decorations that people who play survival (not to say that you don't), like myself, are enjoying. I don't think that Minecraft is getting worse by the update. Quite on the contrary, I think it is getting better.
