So I had sort of planned to give you guys my mcsg forum story on my 500th post, but then I screwed up and posted past 499... thus I had to wait till 1k to post this.
The Beginning
it started when I saw a video uploaded by Variede, an awesome YouTuber I'd been watching for a little bit. It was a Hunger Games map. While I'd never read the books (I have now), I still thought it sounded awesome, even more so after seeing YouTube Hunger Games 1 (Which, imo, since SG3 has gotten lamer and lamer.) I looked online for a hunger games server, and found a privately hosted one on the forums that was still up. When I joined, I was teleported inside a glass box, and not understanding what was going on, broke the glass and was instantly banned. I resumed my search on the servers and found MCSG. I'm fairly certain I started playing in April 2012 (when my forum account was created) since I probably thought you needed a forum account to play on the servers.
Getting Better
I played beta for a while, and was what you would call a sub-decent player. On January 14th, 2013 I had 66 wins. I am unsure if it was before or after this, probably before, but I found a video by nate252 called 'MCSG Pro tips' and 'MCSG Pro tips updated.' These tips helped me insanely, and while I was still far from the best, I was now much better than before. I subscribed to him and have loved his videos ever since.
Getting to know the Forums
So I've played MCSG, yet for some reason that I still am unsure of, I didn't think to try and get active in the community. My first post I ever made was an application to the Hell Games (still haven't gotten in...)
After that I posted a few hacker reports and some posts about wobbie333 that while I still think that slasher was slightly in the wrong, I was still extremely uninformed and I will admit, was just being a stupid fanboy doing whatever he told me to. thread
After that I posted a thread that I was making an MCSG map and was requesting help, which only got one reply (i cri ;-
I did finish the map eventually, but this was just to resolve it as the map itself is pretty crappy. I also tried to host a MCSG Tournament which got no replies either. (Yet now threads by randies with tournaments get 5+ pages... :/) One of my first threads that got positive response was my tips thread.
Getting Active
Sometime around late april/may last year, I really picked up the foruming pace as it were, and started posting almost every day. I hosted a MCSG Awards competition long before KRadium (thread) but it was poorly planned out and was ultimately abandoned.
I made many threads after this,some worked and some didn't.
On August 14th I made my List of YouTubers thread, which now has 20 pages of posts and is still being updated today!
After that I created a MCSG-themed video game and posted it (it was based off of a thread titled baccas are evolving.)
I tried yet again to create a community event (Funniest MCSG Moments) which also failed to attract attention.
I also made a ridiculous thread for ridiculousness' sake.
And a semi-popular but very controversial MCSG themed song that brought me to dislike Arena Master.
I started work on another SG map which at the moment has been abandoned though I may pick it up again someday.
And most recently, I've started work on another MCSG themed song that looks to be promising.

I want to thank this awesome community for all the fun you've given me. I know that MCSG has had it's ups and downs, but I intend to stick around for a while to come. Here are some awesome people I want to thank.
