-I saw a few people were doing these, so I thought it would be something to do, seeing as I'm home sick from school today.-

First off, a little bit about me: My name is Mitch, I live in Southern California, I'm 17 years old, my birthday is November 28th 1995, I am a swimmer and a water polo player, if you would like to see a picture of me I have it posted on the show yourself page somewhere, I'm 6 foot, 3 inches tall, and I f**kin love computers, Im a senior in High school, I have been accepted to Arizona State where I plan on majoring in computer science next year. If anyone lives in the Tempe Arizona area feel free to hit me up about various things about the Area and the City :) thanks for reading, I'll jump right into it.

My journey began with MCSG back in June, I can't remember if this was during beta or after beta, but all I know is that I was lead to MCSG through AntVenom and CaptainSparklez Survival games videos. At the time the only computer I had was my '02 crappy gateway pc that ran on 14 fps if I was lucky, and 10 fps most of the time. So after playing 3 or 4 games of MCSG and 'FPS lagging' as I like to call it, I decided that MCSG was not the game for me, and that I could not play on 14 fps, but when I went in to fight someone, my fps would drop down to 5.

This was unfortunately my first experience with MCSG. It completely frustrated me because I could not fathom why a game with block characters could not run as fast as the game I had been playing religiously at the time, League of Legends. I have been playing LoL since July of 2011 and it was always a fun, competitive, and rewarding game for me, but in the middle of 2012 I was growing tired, and I began looking for a new replacement.

In late July 2012 my hard work at my job life guarding for the city I live in finally payed off. I was making quite a nice amount of money for a 16 year old during summer vacation, and after I payed off my parents for the car they had bought me for my 16th birthday, I amassed enough money to afford an $800 laptop. This laptop replaced my old crappy computer and I'm using it to type out this story today.

So with a new laptop in hand, I set out to find a new game, what I ended up with was Trouble in Terrorist town, Fallout 3, and of course MCSG. TTT was always fun, but it got VERY boring when you die, there is literally nothing to do.. Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time, and I beat it about 4 times for xbox 360, and on PC it just wasn't that much different, I wanted something fresh. So I found MCSG in October. Once I began playing MCSG I loved it. It was one of the most difficult games I had ever played. I had no clue where anything was, chests, people, how to get back to corn, how to run from guys. I sucked. But didn't we all in the first couple weeks of starting out? I finally got my first win after a few days of trying, and I was pretty freakin hooked on the game. I have read all three hunger games books, and the idea of the games had always fascinated me, and being able to play them, and win them, in minecraft made the books an almost reality. So I kept playing MCSG, and I tried pulling my friends from school and LoL in to the games with me, but they never stayed, so after a couple months of playing MCSG, I realized I was all alone.

This is about the time that I downloaded teamspeak for the first time. I had heard there was an MCSG teamspeak channel, and after getting my first 75 wins exclusively by myself, winning all of them solo, minus maybe 5 that I had won with pug's I decided it may be time to find some friends and get to know people who enjoyed these games as much as I do. Around my 17th birthday at the end of November, I had applied for an MCSG clan, which I had no idea existed. And within a day I was accepted and added to the roster of The Elite Squad as a youtube specialist. I make videos and put them on my youtube channel, but I dont want this story to say "hey come watch my videos, herpaderp advertisement!!1!!11" I applied for the Elite Squad because the win requirement was the 2nd highest I could find, I believe it was 75 at the time, although I don't know what it is now. When I was looking for a clan I wanted to find one that would do 3 things for me; 1. Help me win some games, 2. allow me to meet new people from the servers and community, and 3. be mature enough to hold conversations with me, and not strike me down into a headache with high pitched squeaky voices. However, The Elite Squad turned out to not be the place for me, so I respectfully quit the clan and went on as a free agent from then, around late December, to early February.

During this time, I actually connected to the MCSG TS and began joining channels, and talking to people, and the first buddy I actually made on the TS was my still good friend, Epic_Frog_Song. I don't remember exactly how we first met, but I can tell you it was probably through a channel of high pitched voices, and us singling each other out because our voices didn't match the high pitch'edness. After a couple days of playin with Frog our precense was graced by the one, the only, the ugly man himself, Graser10cp. And it all went downhill from here. Our channel was eventually joined by my new bud Explosive_Bisket and Biffington and Blamph. I have a video of us all in a game doing a diamond shovel deathmatch on my channel :) . So after that day Graser and I continued to play some games, and we eventually met up with my now MCSG best bud, Hiqhlights, and the best smack talkers in the games, a_simmons and his twin brother, Pakrfan4life.

About a couple weeks later, we all decided to start up a new clan, one that would be for mature players, preferably 15+, who were also rather decent at the game, 125+ wins. On Febuary 5th, The Empire clan was formed, with the OG 4 of Hiqhlights, Graser, a_simmons, and myself. While our clan was initially viewed as a troll clan #requirementstoohigh, we quickly escalated in popularity and we now get at least 1 or 2 applications a day, to this date. While being in the Empire was a great experience for a couple weeks, my intentions since early January had been to pursue a job as a moderator of the servers, because after all, the #1 thing I hate on the MCSG servers, is hackers..

So when Moderator applications opened up towards the end of February, I made the tough call and left #Empire as leader, and left the job in the hands of Hiqhilights. I still play with the members of Empire, but I am no longer affiliated with the clan in anyways, at this point. I digress, my moderator application took me a couple hours to perfect, and after asking a couple of my mod and ex-mod buddies how my application looked, I sent it in. Today, March 1st is the 12th day of my moderator app not been replied to yet, but I'm looking forward to it getting responded to sometime in the next few days. I will leave my moderator pursuit stories here, at the door and continue with what little remains of my MCSG story

I got my first win on MCSG on October 20th, my 50th on December 26th, my 100th on January 21st, and my 200th just a few days ago on February 26th. I know these aren't any huge feats but they certainly are for me, I know very well I am not the best at this game, and getting wins has been something that all of us have felt. It is both exciting and accomplishing, and who doesn't like that? Of course my wins are nothing compared to Hiqhlights or anyone with way too many wins, but it is the reason a lot of us play these games, to have fun. So now, I'm just about caught up, and I have hardly anything else to write about, so I'll go ahead and post this, I'll probably be updating it soon or in the future, who knows.

People Who Get honorable mentions :D (let me know if I forgot you)
Mr.Mustache, Yomega, GavinAwesome, Yoshi, MCJackson, Tkt24Freak, Mp5xz, Nate1011

THANKS FOR READING, SORRY IF I WASTED YOUR TIME SITTING THROUGH THAT WALL OF TEXT, I JUST WANTED TO DOCUMENT MY JOURNEY THROUGH MCSG
