Many of you probably still don't know me, even though i've been here for over a year and 2 months, but i'm going to share my MCSG story! It all started when Chimneyswift uploaded a video that said he just competed in a hunger games match with other youtubers, and he use going to upload it next tuesday. I loved the idea of it, and counted down the days until it was released. When it was, I was in love. I watched the video from every perspective at least 3 times each. Eventually I decided that I wanted to give it a go! I downloaded the map and got 8 friends together, and we played it. It went so well, that I wanted to do it again! They didn't though... they said we know the map and it wouldn't be any fun. I then googled for server which I could find a lot of random people to play SG with me. I found an awful server. It was a whole bunch of people who would fly around, and spawn creepers on you while you were playing. I then tried to find another one, and it was this.
I was confused of what the IP was, eventually I realized there were a whole bunch! I would always try to play it like it was survival, not PvP. I would always make it to DM by avoiding people, but I would die to the person in full iron and diamond sword. I watched several matches to learn how they got good gear. Eventually I asked in chat ''How do they get such good stuff?'' And the person who replied was a guy named 360rape (lovely name, right?), he said ''Team with me next round and i'll show you.'' (This was when the servers reset without kicking you.) Well, he was a legit pro. We played like 10 rounds together, and he won almost every single one. He would go at people instead of avoiding them. He would go to corn refill no matter what. He never ran from a fight.
I decided to try his techniques , but I would always die in a fight, because I sucked at PvP. I was determined to win though. My first win was when a guy just killed someone then was charging at me, I panicked and rapidly shot arrows at him, then he died (and thus, a legendary arrow spammer was born!). I remember when SG2 came out people loved it! I always got lost inside huge buildings though... I got a couple more wins (and a lot more losses). I eventually realized, that I suck at this! So I took a break and started playing other MC games with friends. One of those being a server called NovsCraft! It was a pvp objective server, and I got really, really good at PvP!
One day I was scrolling through my servers and saw one in lobby with a couple spots open, and I joined it! I dominated that game. Completely owned a guy with 2x better stuff! I won with diamond sword and diamond boots. I played another game and won that too! I soon realized I'm not half bad! But I sucked at the maps I didn't know, like SG3 and breeze. I watched a couple videos by Blamph and discovered the art of Chest Routes. And soon became rather good! My wins quickly started going up, I donated, started being active on the forums, and got to know other members of the server!
