My Minecraft ping is high in the evenings Please help!

It could be that people are most active at that time of night (On the server or the internet company you are currently on).

The reason why you getting worse ping during the evening is more than likely down to your ISP, by any chance do you know if you uncontested internet? If not that is your problem. What this means in simple yearns is that the more people on the worse your internet speed is going to be. That is why you experience better internet at off peak times. If that is not the problem there could be other reasons. Do many people use the internet in your house around this time? Watching YouTube videos/ gaming really take a hit on your internet and if more than one person is doing this at one time and you don't have great internet that's your problem. The last one is if you are useing a wireless connection and people are useing things such as a micro wave this can slow it down. I know that sound ridiculous but it is true. That's all I can really think of at this moment I hope it helped in some way.

Okay, 2 things I want to say is that in the mornings even if people are using the internet I still get my normal ping. So one thing I know for sure is it's not my family using the internet being a problem. The second thing is that when surfing the web in the evenings is fine, normal. no problem! Another question. Do you live in an urban area? And what type of internet do you have (fiber optic, DSL, mobile, satellite etc)?

Do you live in an urban area? No not really it's just a typical town with not that much population (around 30,000).
What type of internet do you use? Wireless modem. Though the computer I use also has an Ethernet cable connected to it.

Normally if u have Unlimited, it will be a server used by multiple people at once. But if u have a limit cap, more times then never you will only get a couple of people on one server making your connection a lot better. To be honest, i don't know that much on the internet's.

So the internet coming into your house is wireless e.g you have a satilite dish?

I think the majority of players and even people go onto the internet at night , they feel more chilled I guess? and may also be that people have work commitments in day?
