Now, this is a thread that I feel needs to be made. This is to explain what better sprint is and why it should be allowed. Shall we begin.
Example: If you're in the water, you can start your sprint out of mid-air instead of going down to the bottom to start your sprint.
This leaves 1.7 users to an advantage, actually, over BSM users, while BSM users get an inconvenience solved.
Better Sprint Mod
Better Sprint Mod (otherwise known as BSM) is a mod that lets you bind your sprint key. Since the 1.7.2 update, binding sprint is now in the game. You may question why this mod is not allowed.
Here are the reasons given.
1) Better Sprint allows sprint toggle.
2) You can toggle shift (shift while in a chest)
3) Your sprint never breaks.
Laptop Disadvantages
Now, binding sprint, the Sr. Staff find this as an advantage, while it honestly just solves an inconvenience. Here's another thing. With my laptop (and other laptop users), when I press two keys down to sprint, it puts a delay and/or doesn't allow me to press my number keys. This puts me at a severe disadvantage against
other players, since I can't use secondary weapons.
Macs and Macros
Now, Mac users and macro users have an advantage over everyone else as well. Mac users can set their sprint button to caps lock, which only makes them press one key to sprint. The same goes for macro users, they can set their sprint key to a button on their mouse, making them only press one key to sprint. This leaves all other players at a disadvantage to them, and there's no way to find out if they're using macs/macros or not.
1.7 Sprint vs. Better Sprint

Now, what I do.
Since my laptop doesn't allow me to press two keys and my number keys at the same time, I resort to double tapping. This puts me at a disadvantage, but it lets me use my number keys.That's all
