I've been honestly meaning to make this thread for a very long time, but only after I recently was involved in a 20 minute argument with a normal player (which both me and a friend were involved, as well as some onlookers) about the topic was I actually inspired to do so...
Long story short, the normal player was in the hub swearing at no one in particular (though he later started swearing at me...fun right?) about how he/she was continuously kicked out of lobbies by donator, and swore about how they were something along the lines of "sadistic assholes who just donated to kick people!" Even though I was originally the only person involved, several other donators joined my side in that we didn't donate to kick people, but to support a server we all love, and keep it alive and well.
This has been a problem, literally since the server began. People get angry at being kicked, which is understandable. But nonetheless, it happened, the end, move on, join another server. Getting kicked a few times is not the end of the world, and it definitely doesn't warrant going into the hub and spamming swear words about how "all donators suck _____". And honestly, between all the other hunger games servers, mcsg is arguably the easiest to get into (Hive and Nexus...just Hive and Nexus... unless youre playing at 2AM, it's extremely difficult to get into a game, whereas on mcsg, you can usually get into a game within 1-5 minutes.)
The majority of donators have given money to the server to support it, not for perks. Yes we get perks, and we do enjoy them, but that's not the point of donating. If you're still not convinced of that as a normal player who has a hatred of donators, I'll list some of the arguments and insults I've seen during my time as a player, and how in-concrete they are:
1 .All donors are noobs who can't pvp!

2. I can't get into a game! You just donated so you could kick people!
I only got donor 2 months ago. Back then I had 700 wins and well over 2.5k games played. I only started playing in April, so obviously, I was able to manage. As I said before, mcsg is arguably the easiest server to get into a game on. Also as I said earlier, I donated to support a server I love, and one that helped me improve my PvP drastically.
3. It doesn't cost money to use the Internet! Chad is just a money grabbing Promiscuous woman!
Before I actually respond, I'd like to say this is by far the most ill-thought out argument on this list.
Firstly, it seems clear you are not paying your internet bill. At least for my family, we pay for internet monthly, so unless you're in college where internet is provided, or playing minecraft out of an internet cafe, yes it DOES cost money
and it costs even more to buy a server and host it in international locations So yes, donations ARE necessary. Secondly, being that he's the owner of this server that you're playing on, you shouldn't really call him a money grabbing Promiscuous woman.
4. I realize donations are needed, but the perks are stupid!
While most of us did donate to support the server, the perks are what put some over the edge. That is how the average human mind works. They see something they want, and take it. That gets many people to donate, but again, the main reason for most was support.
5. Donors shouldn't exist!
Well if they didn't, the server wouldn't exist. Because that's where our money goes. back into the servers. When I first got on, there were 30 US servers. Because of donator we now have 150 US servers alone, and many more internationally, not to mention hubs.
6. YOURE a sadistic asshole!
kthxbai. I honestly don't care if a player thinks bad of me, I still have a great time on a server love. And swearing at donors or about donors does nothing but get people reported for harassment/language/being inappropriate.
if there's anything you guys think I should add let me know. And keep playing even if youre insulted by people endlessly for your support of the server
