Ping Confusion

I'm confused. Huahwi's ping is 80 and he lives in New York. I have a ping of 120 and I live in MICHIGAN. I live closer to the server than he does (unless it's NOT in Arizona like I heard) and he gets better ping. What's going on here?

I don't know i live in Serbia and i have standard ping 32 ms.

Im from Croatia and my ping is about 40 ms
I really can't say where's MCGamer server located at,but there is some programs that can lower your ping
I know its sounds weird but it works
Will make thread about it

I don't think a strong internet affects your ping. I think the distance between you and the server owner did.

And it always comes down on your internet bro.
Also 120 ms STABLE is pretty ok, that's how I played and I got used to it, you don't really miss that many hits.

And it's not stable. It's between 140 and 90 to be exact. Rarely, I get 70 or less.
