It's not going to happen, sorry. Grace periods makes going to the corn less risky and not as fun, and also is similar to other servers.

This has been suggested before, it is pointless to go on about it. For the sake of saving you time of hunting down tons of threads which all suggest the same thing with the same outcome (no grace period) I will give you a quick answer as to why there shall not be one. The whole point of the cornucopia is to have all of the best loot and gear. What would be the point of making it easy to get the best stuff? Imagine the cornucopia held full diamond armour and there was a grace period, people could simply walk up to the chests at the corn and take all of the diamond armour and then simply walk away in their full diamond armour, if there was a grace period, people would be fisting people about trying to get to the corn first. Some guy would get a sword and start murdering the people who were foolish enough to stay in the chests for more than 2 seconds and not run away. The whole point of the corn is to be dangerous and risky but the risk should pay off, if you're quick enough. That is the opinion that I (and most other MCSGers) share with the community. Please stop making these pointless threads guys, there's a list of "no no" suggestions on the forums.

This won't happen, it ruins a huge aspect of the game. The challenge of whether to go for the corn or not. If we have a grace period, everyone will go for the corn: and there will be no blood bath. This would make the game so less fun as there's more restrictions and limitations. MCSG generally tries not to place too many restrictions on the players ingame, which is nice.

I've said this in almost every grace period thread I've come across. Adding a grace period would severely hurt the gameplay. The reason the MCSG servers don't have a grace period is because it makes the game too easy. On our servers, going to corn is a gamble. If you go to the cornucopia, you may come away with nothing, or you may come away with plenty of food and a diamond. However, if you go, there is a chance that someone else will get a sword and chase you. The other option is to play it safe and not go to the cornucopia at the beginning of the game.

It's a gamble because you never know if you're going to survive the start of the game. With a grace period, the cornucopia wouldn't be a gamble anymore, it'd be an essential part of the game.

I'm sorry, but a grace period will not be added to the MCSG servers. Since beta we've not included such, and we will not. This is a no-no suggestion, and is outlined as such in this thread. Please read that thread prior to posting another suggestion, and make sure that it is not present on that list.
