PVP related Question

I'm very good at using a sword. ( I can combo in 5 different ways, strafe people to their deaths, etc) However, I'm not well at using a fishing rod, bow and arrow, and flint and steel. These three weak factors are what keeps me from winning ANY game at all. How can I improve on these weapons?

Bow: Comes with practice, but make sure you are using a reasonable DPI. I recommend between 500 and 3000 with Minecraft sensitivity at 100%.

Fishing Rod: Use it when going into fights, but make sure to hit them before they are in your hit-range (about 3 blocks). Otherwise, they could score a combo. Using the rod knocks a player back, stunning them and leaving them less prepared for a fight an easier to combo.

What I did to practice all these things is go on Badlion and just keep playing unranked matches and just use them alone.

So some rounds bow only.
Other rounds just fns or just fishing rod and sword.

I mostly use flint and steel when running away from someone. Since your pursuer is so engaged in chasing you, he or she never notices when you turn around and set him on fire.
